I didn’t have much of a plan for eating yesterday. It occurs to me that not having a plan has been a big part of the problem lately. I feel overwhelmed by basic stuff lately, so this project has been hard to get back on track.
I hadn’t planned to eat lunch yesterday, but I went to the cafeteria at work and got a burrito anyway. I’ve had no energy at all lately, so I thought I needed something more than an afternoon coffee. The burrito had beans and rice in it, so, in combination with the tortilla, it was high in carbohydrates (the remaining ingredients were ground beef and cheese). It was a mediocre burrito, and I could have done without it, but I don’t seem to have any willpower lately.
For dinner, I just had a few saturn peaches. They hadn’t been touched since I bought them a couple of days before, and I was curious since I’d never had saturn peaches. Although fruit does contain carbohydrates, I never feel guilty about eating it because it also has a lot of phytonutrients and fiber in it.
Anyway, I lost a pound according to the scale, so that’s a turn in the right direction since I’ve done nothing but gain weight for the past four days. I intend to keep the downward trend going. We’ll see…
