The early part of yesterday was spent cleaning my house, which was an absolute disaster. After cleaning, I made a trip to Trader Joe’s for some raw almonds and coconut almond coffee creamer. Of course, I picked up a few other things that I shouldn’t have, including a small carrot cake and peach and raspberry cobbler, both of which I’d gotten hooked on by trying them the weekend before. As usual, they were supposed to last all weekend; they did not.
I spent the middle part of the day studying some material for work (this is my “work outside of work”), and studying makes me crave sugar and carbohydrates, so the carrot cake and blueberry and raspberry cobbler went quickly. The latter part of the day I spent with my friend, which is always a challenge because she’s always hungry (and she’s grumpy if she’s hungry). We picked up some brisket and banana pudding from Rudy’s BBQ.
The bottom line is that, after all of the missteps from yesterday, I gained four pounds. Gaining weight on the weekends has become par for the course, and that will need to change. We’ll see…
