Yesterday was another day of overconsumption. I finished the stuff from Trader Joe’s for breakfast, exceeding any carbohydrate limit for the day. A late lunch consisted of a giant slice of pizza, too many garlic knots, and a piece of tiramisu from Brooklyn Pie Company. While I didn’t have dinner, I did have some (too much) ice cream. Strangely enough, I didn’t gain any weight; I weigh the same today as I did yesterday.
I suppose I burned off some of the carbohydrates and calories from breakfast by pulling weeds and trying to extract a wild tree from my backyard. That was surprisingly exhausting, and I had to take a couple of naps in the hours following that. I’m incredibly sore today, so it was strenuous work. Maybe I worked harder than I thought I did.
Today begins a week of getting back on track. No sugar or flour for the next four days, and my only meal will be a giant vegetarian salad after work. I had to make an appointment with my doctor to get a referral to the orthopedist for my crumbling shoulders, so that provides motivation to lose the weight I’ve gained over the past two months.
I woke up late (again), so that’s all I have for today.
