Yesterday was a fasting day, and I lost four pounds, so I’m back under 250. It feels good to see the linear trend downward for the past week. I fasted Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and I managed to lose 13 pounds in five days. That steep of a drop is likely due to just starting from an unusually excessive amount of weight put on last weekend. Whatever the case, I’m glad to be sitting at 245.

Since Cheeseburger Weekend is no longer a thing, I’m hoping to at least maintain my weight until Monday. One the menu for both days will be taco salad. The salad will include ground beef, cheese, refried beans and tortilla chips (in addition to romaine lettuce, tomato, green onion, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo), so there will probably be too much fat and too many carbohydrates, but it will be my only meal for the day. I also got a few tiny cups of ice cream since I’m saying goodbye to sugar on Monday. Now that I look at what I’ve listed, it’s a lot of food, so I may gain a bit of weight.

One of the frustrating things about grocery shopping is that portion sizes of everything are not made for single people. For example, the containers of guacamole and pico de gallo are too big, even when spread across the two meals for this weekend. I regularly succumb to the sunk cost fallacy, so I’ll likely eat all of the guacamole and pico de gallo simply because I spent money on it and don’t want it to go to waste. But, regardless of whether I eat it or not, I’ve still spent that money. It’s gone. But enough of behavioral economics…

This post is short, but I don’t have much else to say. More later.
